Zoo News

As soon as we moved here we got our membership to the zoo. We love it, eventhough its been so HOT outside.

Sometimes the best parts of the zoo don't involve animals. Cole love's this train.

I love looking at the chimps. Cole got a very up-close look today.

This one's for Uncle Steve. What do you call a camel with two humps? A Bactrian!

My favorite part is the Adventure Theater where kids act out the story, "Giraffe's Can't Dance". Cole has played the part of the Zebra, the Rhino, and today was the monkey. Here they are taking a bow.

P.S. This has nothing to do with the Zoo, but Luke has his two front bottom teeth coming in!

Bon Voyage

Clay's brother Thayne and his wife Sara moved this last Monday. So the Sunday before, all the So Cal Larson's went to Sara's mom's house to say goodbye.

Luke with Grandma.

Sage is so sweet! She loved feeding Luke his bottle.

I am so thrilled that I got a picture of Luke and Calla holding hands.

We'll miss you guys!

A Day at the Beach

Cole, Luke and I took a drive to Santa Monica on Friday for some fun at the beach. Cole managed to put his fear of being swept away by a wave behind him and really enjoyed the water.

It was Luke's first beach trip. He wasn't too impressed.

There's a fun little aquarium under the pier. Cole loved the "touch tanks" where he could feel star fish, sea cucumbers, crabs and other sea life. I think his favorite part was making a paper-bag octopus puppet at the craft table.

Santa Monica Pier was so fun! Tons of rides and food and tourists!

We only had time (and money) for one ride. Cole and I thought this one would be great--jumping on a trampoline while being strapped to bungie cords.

Playing Hard

We got our membership to the Children's Museum a few weeks ago. We've visited 5 times so far and I fully intend to get our money's worth. It's a good thing Cole like's it.

He love's playing at the "Ant Hill".

There's a fun biking track outside and Cole doesn't like to ride solo.

And riding with a girl...even better.

The real treat at the end of our visits is playing in the stream and getting soaked in the waterfall.

We saw this sticker idea on our friend Mickelle's blog. I thought it was pretty cute.

If we were a sticker...

The King of Swing

Well, I don't know that this title is the most fitting for Luke, but he sure does like his swing a lot more than he did initially. We mostly just put him in the swing when he's already asleep. It keeps him asleep much longer than if I lay him down. As you can see, Cole likes to make sure Luke always has toys to play with.
