Bow to your Sensei

Today was Cole's second karate lesson. There's only a few lessons left for this session so we'll see if he wants to continue with more sessions. I love watching it! It's the cutest thing seeing all the little three-year-olds punching and kicking and shouting out the Japanese commands.

A Happy Homecoming

My sister Katie finally got to come home from Utah! My parents and all my siblings and their families were at the airport to welcome her back home on Friday night. We are so happy and so is she!

Thanks for the ride

On Sunday, we attended a multi-stake conference broadcast. We really enjoyed it, especially when Pres. Hinckley spoke. I particularly liked this quote that he talked about:

"Life is like an old time rail journey…. …Delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas, and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

It has been quite some ride since marrying Clay 4 1/2 years ago, one that has been interspersed more than occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. And now just around the corner is the arrival of a new baby and move number 15. I don't know where we'll be moving to; Clay has applied to a few different schools. And I don't know what the future will bring. But looking back, I think we have mostly enjoyed the journey, and I'm sure it will continue to be just as wonderful. I'm just lucky I get to share the road with 3 boys! (soon)

You say tomato...

After arriving home from grocery shopping, Cole got into a bag of tomatoes, pulled one out and started taking big, juicy bites out of it like an apple. Is this noteworthy?...well, I personally don't like tomatoes, so it seems quite extraordinary to me. It's just another one of the many ways that Cole is like his dad.
Cole's first day of primary was today. He did really well, even though he complained beforehand that he would be too bored in primary. Clay did well today too. It was his first Sunday as the new Deacon's quorum adviser.

Baby Boy Larson

No blog would be complete without an ultrasound picture, right? This picture is at 21 weeks, I'm now at 25 weeks.

Happy New Year!

We didn't have any plans for New Year's so we were happy when Clay's mom, Suzanne, called and invited us over on New Year's Eve. We spent the night along with Cole's aunt Sara and cousin Sage. Sage is 2 and the most sweet, mellow little girl you ever met. I loved watching her and Cole play together.
So far 2008 has been wonderful and we wish a Happy New Year to all of you!
